Investment CPP in Amazonas, Cajamarca and San Martín than S /. 250 000 000


The institutions involved in implementing the new Code of Criminal Procedure (CPP) in Amazonas, Cajamarca and San Martín disbursed 77 000 802 257 000 000 nuevos soles, technical secretary said the implementation of this legal body, Rafael Donaire. Of this amount, he said, for the entry into force in the Judicial District of Amazonas will require 750 000 769 72 million soles, while for another 79 million San Martín 36 000 278 soles.

In the case of Cajamarca, he said, the implementation of the CPP have an investment of 105 000 000 290 000 755 soles.

On April 1, as is scheduled, this new body of law will take effect in said judicial districts.

Thus, from next month, the CPP will be implemented in 16 jurisdictions across the country, giving access to quick and effective justice for all litigants.

The new Criminal Procedure Code is already operational in Huaura, La Libertad, Tacna, Moquegua, Arequipa, Tumbes, Piura, Lambayeque, Puno, Cusco, Madre de Dios, Cañete and Ica.

"This new model of criminal procedure intended to bring a form of civilized conflict resolution, where there is open communication and an oral discussion between the defense and the prosecution, and where the courts apply the criteria of orality", said Donaire.
