The Ministry of Justice inaugurated the new headquarters of the Directorate of Civil Defense in Chachapoyas, which has a dedicated office to serve the disabled. The new headquarters is located at 757 Jiron Amazonas, Chachapoyas, where public defenders absolve legal consultations and, if necessary, assume the defense of citizens for free.
The opening ceremony was chaired by the director general of Civil Defence, Ministry of Justice, Gaston Manrique Pachas.
He highlighted the efficient work of public defenders of the Amazon for the needy, taking month an average of 900 legal consultations.
Representatives from the Armed Forces, National Police, the Judiciary and the Regional Government.
In the event, some 23 attorneys sworn as advocates for public district addresses Chachapoyas, Utcubamba, Bagua, RodrÃguez de Mendoza, Luya, Condorcanqui and Bong.
