A partir de esta medianoche entra en vigencia el nuevo Código Procesal Penal (CPP) en los distritos judiciales de Amazonas, San Martín y Cajamarca, con la finalidad de agilizar y hacer más transparentes los procesos judiciales.
Para la implementación de este novedoso código el Ministerio de Justicia realizó una serie de cursos de capacitación a jueces, fiscales, policías, abogados públicos y privados, informó el representante de la dirección general public defense of the Ministry of Justice, Gaston Manrique Pachas.

The installation ceremony of the new CPP was held in the auditorium of the Provincial Municipality of Chachapoyas, and was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Interior, Judiciary and Prosecutor's Office.
